That’s right! San Diego is nearly upon us! Time goes by so fast. And I say that not just because it feels like last year’s Comic Con was just months ago, but because it’s only now really hitting me that Comic Con 2009 was 15 years ago!
That show was where we released the first two issues of the original Untamed comic on the unsuspecting public. I say “unsuspecting” because we literally had to go out in the aisles and drag people over to our booth, the one we were sharing with about 10 other small publishers. But before long, we had a line of people waiting to hear about 7 Days, 7 Souls. We also had a bunch of booth partners upset about said line.
But that line was part of a sting operation. The producer of The Watchmen & Boogie Nights movies came by our booth when the line was stretching down the aisle, and that ended up in a deal… That story will be shared among others on the live tonight!
THE EXCLUSIVE!
So, in honor of 15 years of The Untamed and of Stranger Comics, I’d like to reveal the first of our San Diego Con Exclusives… the 15th Anniversary Edition of The Untamed #1. It feature’s Hyoung’s Ferryman artwork as a wraparound cover. If you have the hardcover, you may recall it from the inside of the cover (or the dust jacket, depending on your KS edition). It was never used as a single issue cover, so now seems like the right time to do just that. And it’s limited to… do you want to guess?
