DEFIANT COLLECTION

For the last year or so, we have been honored to work on a book with the brilliant Rob Edwards, of Princess and the Frog fame, and Legion M, who we've done some work with in the past. I personally constructed their hardcover for Girl With No Name. Anyway, they approached us to work on a Civil War era story (not quite our wheelhouse) about an unlikely hero (exactly our wheelhouse) named Robert Smalls. Robert really did have an astonishing life that still impacts all of us today, and we are proud to say that the project is done and turned out better than we ever could have expected. That said...

The Defiant paperback hits bookstore shelves soon! We got the initial shipment of trade paperbacks in and they look great! We will be shipping out site orders next week after Phoenix and the books are currently en route to shops through our book distributor Ingram for a Juneteenth release. Those of you who got the single issues for the first two may note that issues 3 and 4 haven't been released yet. As you may have heard, Diamond Comics, the distributor for comic shops, is going through a reorganization bankruptcy, so it's thrown a bit of a monkey wrench into our single issue release schedule. But if you are a single issue reader, you will have them soon. In the meantime, if you want to finish the story, the ebooks will be dropping with the paperback release.

Additionally, if you are a backer of Legion M's Kickstarter, they should be announcing today the details of the special edition hardcover that backers will receive, but I don't want to steal their thunder, so go look for their release! And if you haven't ordered it, you can find it on our website below, or you can order through Amazon!

There will also be a hardcover for the non-Kickstarter backers which you can preorder on our website link above as well. That will be released in stores and through Amazon later this year.
