An Excerpt from Salem’s prose in the book:
The ancient wizard waited for the girl's heartbeat to quiet into a slow and peaceful rhythm. Salem had found Niobe buried in a crater of her own making, in a desert far from human cities and towns, and from the Galemren tribes that gather and roam. He wondered if she had chosen this place, or if Questor's luck had dragged her to it. Zunn was merciless here, the sun dragon bludgeoning the moon mage with blinding light and searing heat. Wind stirred, and thunder cracked close by—he knew both God and Dragon were hunting for Niobe.
