Hello Stranger!

Happy Thursday!

I am the man waiting. Only, I am sitting in the boarding lounge trying to write some new prose, but the dulcet tones of the airport crier have Niobe checking her bags and calling upon the Untamed, and Essessa eavesdropping on the latest stock tips from the notice-me twit that has me reaching for Buxton’s axe. So, I’ll get back to Asunda a bit later! I am off to see my son for a wonderful week of park walks and catching up on the final season of Succession. Have you watched it? For the flight, I brought with me the novel Dungeon Crawler Carl. I am excited to dive in!

I am excited to share something new and very special – THE EXCLUSIVE STRANGER SKETCHBOOK. This was inspired by the gift that original Stranger Comics artist, Hyoung (The Last of Us), gave me at SDCC! Above is the original art!

STRANGER COMICS ORIGINS. Many of you know I modeled Stranger Comics on three companies: HBO for the art of cinematic storytelling, Taschen for presentation of the art, and Blue Note for their iconic album covers—they had a hallmark look. I wanted to have a signature feel for Stranger. If you see one of our books, you know it is quality.

DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT! Inside the sketchbook will be an original poem by me, remarks from Darrell, and possibly other Stranger legends. ;) So make sure you come to:
