More reasons to celebrate, as NOW, for the first time ever, you can read our comic and listen to the music that speaks to Niobe’s journey in TALES OF ASUNDA: NIOBE She Tribe. The first song is… DAWN OF LIGHT.
As many of you know, music is my first love. I believe, to quote Fela Kuti, “music is a spiritual thing.” In The Untamed I cowrote “The Strangers Theme” with Jens Engelbrecht. Now, it is with sincere gratitude I celebrate two songs for Niobe’s journey I cowrote with one of my dearest friends, creator of Brown Sugar Fairies, Aiysha Sinclair. The songs were recorded a few years ago and produced by Theron Feemster at Speakeasy Sound with Kyle Mann engineering. A lot of people had a hand in putting this together including Randy Jackson and Mimi DiTrani. But Aiysha is the star and her vocals on these songs transcend. I wanted to honor Aiysha as she came up with both terms, She is Life and She Tribe. And the song title Dawn of Light has now taken on new meaning as it honors my mother Dawn who passed away end of last year… our guardian angel.
