Life on Asunda began in Oasis. Long before the town stood, the Tree of Life grew, and the water that sprang from the land could heal. But when Vastar dug up the seed of Ilkor and was impaled by his sister Dura, the Tree began to die, and the waters began to fade. Many millennia later, after multiple civilizations had sprung up around the Oasis, died out, and been buried, the well has become nothing more than dried up relic of the past. And what lies beneath it is long since forgotten. That is, until a Galemren Elven chief sends two brothers into the depths to retrieve the very seed of Ilkor that caused Asunda's original sin... when a brother was killed, and death was welcomed into the world.
