Niobe has just lost the love of her life, and any sense of family. So she hides herself from destiny and purpose, deep in the Ugoma jungle lost in visions of a mother she’s never known. But when she stumbles across a woman and child being attacked by a monster, instincts kick in, and she goes into rescue mode. She learns the woman was the wife of a local tribe’s chief who was killed by the new one. His family was discarded in disgrace, left to the land to decide their fate. It is tradition. Niobe, seeing herself in the abandoned family, decides to challenge the ancient custom. In this tale Niobe will learn that not all traditions are good, and yet who is she to pass judgment and make change? 

Heavy is the head that wears the crown – and it is one she will need to wear if she is to come out of hiding and become the savior of an entire world.
