Stranger and Prentice Penny launch Joint Venture

As reported in The Hollywood Reporter.Partnering with Stranger Comics’ Founder Sebastian A. Jones, Penny is launching a yet-to-be-named joint venture to identify and support new talent in the independent comic book world — functioning as an incubator and development lab for BIPOC creators and their IP to find inroads to publication and adaptation to other mediums. We are reposting some news from the last two years as we have switched website providers and lost most of our posts. So we thought we would start by recapping what has been probably our biggest news in many years. HBO picked up Niobe’s world of Asunda. This was first announced by Deadline, and shortly thereafter they also announced Prentice Penny (Insecure, Uncorked) joining Stranger Comics president Sebastian A. Jones as EP to develop Asunda’s maiden property, “The Untamed.”
